The story...

 

Returning client Michael M. sent an email containing details of an upcoming build involving the Raven RPX.  Being that it is a new blank, I was intrigued.  He and I had both heard good things about this 3pc. steelhead float blank.  The idea of building on this new offering to the float fishing community was only part of the intrigue, what Michael had in mind for it was the best part!

Build Review:

 

This probably already a very popular blank.  I can see why.  The fit and finished is superb, the feel lends itself to be nimble enough to protect light tippets, but with enough in the butt section to steer fish and land them quickly.  I really enjoyed building this custom rod.  It is for a frequent client who always permits me to build with a vision.  The blue color of the wood is eye popping and the wraps pull it all together nicely.  The butt wrap adds just enough class and "custom" without getting to flashy or crazy. 

 

 

 

With this rod, the adventure ends, but another awaits my attention....
