The Story:

I was approached by D.M. to construct a Pacific Northwest steelhead and salmon fishing fighting rod.  He specifically requested that I turn a long sliding ring reelseat (Tennessee style grip) with a walnut fighting butt.  He really liked the Swaziland fundraiser build's - Bring Light to Darkness that I call the sunrise/sunset style cork format. The results are below for your review.
