The story...

This is your opportunity to get a custom rod for a fraction of the cost of a commissioned built model.  Why so inexpensive?  In the process of building rods, it is typical to sometimes come across bulk purchasing discounts and other cost cutting measures when ordering components.  Although at the time of the purchase the extra products and components weren't needed, they were added to inventory in anticipation of the few times a year that I build without a customer dictating design parameters.  This allows you to purchase a custom, but not customized for you, built fishing rod.

This little beauty is a 4wt. fly blank converted over to a light float rod application.  Equipped with a HD aluminum fighting butt and an all natural cork Tennessee handle, and a lightweight Flexi-Lite guide set, this rod balances extremely well and will handle small mouth, stocker brooks, browns, rainbows and even small catfish.  It's not a telephone pole, you'll feel the adrenaline rush from the fight in the fish!  It breaks down into four pieces for easy transport too!  The guides have been chosen for their extreme weight savings and Tich durability.  The handle has been sealed with CORK SEAL so fish goo, worm slime and egg yoke doesn't stand a chance at messing up your custom rod!  You can equip it with either a center pin reel or a spinning reel!

Build Review:

I've dedicated a good portion of my time creating "Spring Fed" float rods built upon quality fly blanks with the correct modulus to produce a heart thumbing response when fighting fish other than salmon, steelhead and carp.  Most species smaller than these three will give you a good fight and a smile on your face when the rod is bent into a nice inverted "U" shape!  Enjoy!

With this rod, the adventure ends, but another awaits my attention....
